TAX CALENDAR 2008



Individuals Payment of your estimated tax for 2007 If you did not pay your income tax for the year through withholding.                                                                                                                              January 15, 2008 
Corporations File a 2007 calendar year income tax return. (Form 1120 or 1120-A or 1120-S)  March 17, 2008 

S Corporations File a 2007 calendar year income tax return.                                          March 15, 2008 

Individuals:  Form 4070 for employees who received $20 or more in tips during March is due to employers. April 15, 2008 

Individuals File a 2007 income tax return (Form 1040,1040A, or 1040EZ) and pay any tax due.  April 15, 2008 

Application for Automatic Extension of Time To File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return.            April 15, 2008 

Partnerships File a 2007 calendar year return (Form 1065).                                                    April 15, 2008 

Corporations Deposit the first installment of estimated income tax for 2008.                            April 15, 2008 

Taxpayers: First quarter and monthly sales tax reports are due.                                              April 22, 2008 

Employers: Social Security, Medicare and withheld income tax file Form 941 for the 1 st quarter or 2008 and deposit any undeposited tax. If you deposited the tax for the quarter in full and on time, you have until May 10, to file Form 941 for the first quarter of 2008.                                                                                                          April 30, 2008 

Employers: Deposit Federal unemployment tax owed through March if more than $500.             April 30, 2008 

Individuals: Form 4070 for employees who received more that $20 in tips during April is due to employers. May 12, 2008 

Corporations: LLC’s and newly taxable entities: Annual Texas Franchise Reports are due. An extension may be file with a payment of the lesser of 100% of the prior year’s tax or 90% of the current year’s tax. If an entity was previously not subject to Texas Franchise tax, 90% of the current year’s tax is due. You would then need to file by November 15, unless required to pay by EFTPS and need to file by August 15. The forms should be updated by the Texas Comptrollers office in late February May 15, 2008 

Taxpayers: Monthly sales tax reports are due.                                                                       May 20, 2008 

Individuals: Form 4070 for employees who received more than $20 in tips during May is due to employers. June 10, 2008

Individuals: If you are not paying your 2008 income tax through withholding, pay the second installment of your 2008 estimated tax by using Form 1040*-ES. If you are a U.S. citizen or resident alien living and working (or on military duty) outside the U.S. or Puerto Rico, file Form 4868 to obtain four additional months to file. Then file by October 15. If you are participating in a combat zone, a further extension may be applicable.                                                               June 16, 2008 
 
Corporations (Calendar Year End): Deposit the second installment of estimated income tax for 2008. (Worksheet Form 1120-W)                                                                                                                                   June 16, 2008

Individuals If you are a U.S. citizen or residential alien living And working outside the United States and Puerto Rico, file Form 1040 and pay and tax, interest, and penalties due.                                                               June 16, 2008

S Corporations File a 2007 calendar year income tax return (Form 1120S) and pay any tax due. This due date applies only if you timely requested an automatic 6-month extension.                                                         September 15, 2008

Corporations Deposit at least 80% of the third installment Of estimated income tax for 2008.    September 15, 2008 

Corporations Deposit the remaining 20% of the third Installment of estimated income tax for 2008. October 1, 2008 

Partnerships File a 2007calendar year return (Form 1065) This due date applies only if you were given an additional 6-month extension.                                                                                                                         October 15, 2008 

Corporations Deposit the fourth installment of estimated Income tax for 2008.                         December 15, 2008
